Trailer 3 release date

No official date has been set for a third trailer. Speculation has pointed at several windows, including the June 25 pre-order launch and mid-July, without confirmation either way.

In-game social media feed and NPC routines

A since-pulled Amazon Brazil product page described NPCs with individual daily routines and an in-game social feed where players can follow "influencers" and find side missions from viral posts.

Map ~2 to 2.7x the size of Los Santos

Independent fan cartography projects, built from trailers, screenshots and leaked footage, estimate Leonida at roughly 2 to 2.7 times the size of GTA 5's map. Rockstar hasn't confirmed a figure.

AI-generated Zelnick "leaked" voice memo

An audio clip purporting to be Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confirming an October reveal date was quickly flagged as AI-generated — the voice referred to the game as "GTA I-V" instead of the commonly used "GTA 6."

Release delayed to November 19, 2026

Rockstar and Take-Two announced the release date had moved from an earlier May 2026 target to November 19, 2026, during Take-Two's quarterly earnings report.

Early dev-build photo from a Rockstar office

A Reddit post included an image and two videos claimed to be from an early development build, with photo metadata pointing to a Rockstar San Diego office in mid-2021. Rockstar never officially commented on it.

750GB install size

An extreme 750GB file-size claim spread widely starting in 2024. Gaming outlets found no basis for the figure, and Rockstar has never published an official install size.

Protagonist names: Jason and Lucia

Both protagonist names surfaced in a Reddit post weeks ahead of the official reveal, then were confirmed when Trailer 1 released on December 4, 2023.

September 2022 network breach

About 90 early development videos were posted to GTAForums after a breach of Rockstar's internal network. Rockstar confirmed the footage was genuine the next day; the hacker was later identified as a member of the Lapsus$ group and arrested within days.

Stealth mechanics: dragging and hiding bodies

Leaked gameplay clips showed characters crawling prone and dragging bodies — no mainline GTA has let players move bodies like this before, hinting at a real stealth system.

Overhauled police AI and witness system

The leak suggested police only respond when someone actually witnesses a crime, search based on the witness's description of your appearance and vehicle, and take longer to arrive for minor offenses.

157 enterable interiors

Debug menus in the leaked build reportedly listed 157 interiors — apartments, supermarkets, bars, pawn shops — a big jump from GTA 5's mostly closed-off world.

Vice City setting and two protagonists

The leaked footage showed a Vice City setting, a female protagonist, and two playable leads — all later verified when the first official trailer released in December 2023.
